The service

erkstats provides live and historical statistics for public IRC networks and channels, for general informational use. The figures are sampled and aggregated and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. We offer the site as is, without warranties of any kind, and are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the data.

Content and third parties

The site aggregates publicly-available IRC network metadata. Channel and network names, topics and similar text are created by third parties; erkstats does not endorse, control or take responsibility for them, and stores no message content. If you operate a network or channel and want it corrected or removed, contact us and we will act on it.

Acceptable use

Please use the site and its public API reasonably: don't hammer it, scrape it in a way that degrades the service for others, or use it to harass anyone or for any unlawful purpose. We may rate-limit or block abuse.

Intellectual property

The site's design, text and original presentation are ours; the underlying user, channel and server counts are facts about public networks. Please don't republish the site wholesale as your own.

Changes
