Originally created by sock as the MsgPlus IRC network (irc.msgplus.net) for the Messenger Plus! community, tawx was later maintained by DXtremz before transitioning into the hands of TReKiE who manages it today. Following the sale of Messenger Plus!, the network was renamed to tawx in January of 2012.  tawx has hosted the original #banana channel for over two decades, as well as many other communities.
