FlyingMonkey
LiveFlying Monkey IRC is an Aussie-run network for people who love old-school chat. We love the retro computing side and dedicate a channel to that - vintage hardware, old-school software, that whole "vintage internet" energy - but we're just as much a general hangout too. Tech chat, gaming, random 3am conversations, whatever. We're small, sure, but small means every regular actually matters here. No apps, no algorithms, just people typing at each other in real time. Jump on in.

-------------------------------------------------------- WELCOME TO FLYING MONKEY AUSTRALIA IRC -------------------------------------------------------- Basic Rules ----------- - This is not a file sharing network, please no fserves! - Do not do anything that creates any legal liability for our network or staff, in Australia or elsewhere! - While we try to be fairly relaxed, we also expect you to behave like an adult. - Individual channels are free to set their own rules, provided they do not conflict with these rules. - Anybody found to be breaking the rules will be dealt with as server operators see fit. - Otherwise, don't be a dick! This service utilises standard ChanServ and NickServ. This server accepts plaintext connections on port 6667 and encrypted connections on port 6697. Connections using encryption are preferred, however plaintext connections are available to support vintage computer enthusiasts. This MOTD was sent using 100% recycled electrons. A note for Nick Registration: Some email providers such as Hotmail and Gmail have quite agressive spam filters, which may limit your ability to receive password reset emails as our hosting company OVH sadly ends up on block lists quite a bit. We recommend learning how to properly manage your passwords using a password manager, to reduce the chance you'll need to use this facility. Visit our websits to keep track of any scheduled maintenance - https://www.flyingmonkey.au - where you can also submit funny IRC Quotes! Wanna dive right in? Join the #FlyingMonkey or #RetroComputing channels. Otherwise, feel free to create your own channels!
