Launched in 1996, the AustNet Chat Network is one of Australasia's oldest and most prominent IRC networks. It might not have the userbase that it did back in its hey day, but on AustNet you can still find a friendly chat, active Horse Racing, Trivia and Casino games, as well as an active staff to assist if you have any troubles. AustNet also has it's well known IRC Services, OPAS, developed by AustNet, for AustNet.
